Software Review :: Microsoft Windows 8

Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, a family of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, also home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks and media center PCs.It adds support for ARM microprocessors in to the traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Its user interface has been changed to make it better suited for touched screen input in to the traditional mouse and keyboard input.

Matlab 2011 : Windows Software Review

MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. Developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, Java, and Fortran.

Feature::

• µTorrent (or uTorrent; commonly abbreviated as "µT" or "uT") is a freeware.
•  It is the most widely used BitTorrent client outside China, where Xunlei is more popular. 
• It gets the "µ" in its name from the SI prefix "micro-", referring to the program's small memory footprint: 
• The program is designed to use minimal computer resources while offering functionality comparable to larger BitTorrent clients such as Vuze or BitComet.

Mac P2P Review:: "Vuze"

Feature::

• Vuze (previously Azureus) is a BitTorrent client used to transfer files.
• Vuze is written in Java, and uses the Azureus Engine.
• downloading data linked to by .torrent files, Azureus allows users to view, publish and share original DVD and HD quality video content.
• Vuze software added in more recent versions is proprietary and users are required to accept these more restrictive license terms in order to install current versions of the BitTorrent client.

Mac P2P Review:: "Acquisition"

• Acquisition is a  peer-to-peer client that is also able to supporting BitTorrent designed specifically for Mac OS X.
• Acquisition is more noted for its focus on user interface.
• integration with Mac OS X than for its originality in features, making full use of Apple's Cocoa APIs, and has integration with iTunes.
• Acquisition uses parts of the LimeWire core libraries, licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
• Acquisition uses parts of LimeWire code, it was not affected by LimeWire's decision to disable its client.
• Acquisition, like its sister programs Cabos and FrostWire among others, contains no such code, and thus remains running.

Mac Software Review : Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger"

 

Feature::

• Apple stated that Tiger contained more than 150 new features.
• Tiger requires a Mac with a built-in FireWire port.
• Tiger introduced Spotlight, Dashboard, Smart Folders, updated Mail program with Smart Mailboxes, QuickTime 7, Safari 2, Automator, VoiceOver, Core Image and Core Video. 
• Apple released the first Intel-based Macs along with the 10.4.4 update to Tiger.
• operating system functioned identically on the PowerPC-based Macs and the new Intel-based machines, with the exception of the Intel release dropping support for the Classic environment.

Mac Software Review : Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard"

 

Feature::

• Leopard brought more than 300 new features.
• Leopard supports both PowerPC- and Intel x86-based Macintosh computers.
• The single DVD works for all supported Macs (including 64-bit machines).
• Leopard support for the G3 processor was dropped.
• And also the G4 processor required a minimum clock rate of 867 MHz.

• And at least 512 MB of RAM to be installed.
• It was also the first BSD-based OS to receive UNIX 03 certification.
• Leopard is an Open Brand UNIX 03 registered product on the Intel platform.
